The collection

The collection of the Sabino Arana Fundazioa's Museum of Basque Nationalism is made up of original items from the 19th century to the present. It is constantly being updated thanks to frequent donations from the general public. Special mention should be made of its undeniable historical and, often, sentimental value.

The textile collection consists of a range of items, including flags, neckerchiefs and accessories that convey and are examples of an important part of our historical memory.

Along with the textile collection, the content of our photography archive is particularly noteworthy. Hundreds of thousands of illustrations and graphic arts provide a visual account of our past and help to understand the historical narrative. It is an important collection with references to Basque political, social, economic and sport activities in the 20th century. Specifically, from the time of the Spanish Civil War and the subsequent exile.
